The Contact Company congratulates Jan Scott for being the winner of October’s Employee of the Month!
Jan’s role at TCC is the Payroll Administrator, responsible for preparing, processing and distributing our colleague’s paychecks. With such a critical role, Jan must be trustworthy, honest, communicative, helpful, responsive, approachable and confidential, all of which she is.
This month, Jan has shown dedication to her role and her colleagues. She makes herself available to answer colleagues’ queries, all whilst having a smile on her face. This month, in particular, has been a challenge, with Jan working extra hours to ensure her tasks are complete – her team are amazed by how she has handled the pressure.
Her colleagues add: “Jan is the face of Payroll and is always happy to assist with any colleagues with a query or concern. A person’s salary is vital to them, and Jan proves time and time again that she takes this seriously. You would be hard-pressed to find someone in TCC who wouldn’t trust Jan with the most sensitive information.”
The judging panel loved hearing the positive nominations for Jan, adding: “It was clear that Jan has been coping exceptionally well. She has proven time and time again that she is dedicated to making sure she completes her responsibilities whilst making sure she has time to assist with queries or concerns. What stood out is how her team sees her and how she always remains personable with her colleagues and builds a rapport with everyone she interacts with.”
Jan’s line manager was delighted to hear that she had won, saying: “Jan has a great responsibility managing payroll for everyone. She does this with commitment, sensitivity, and dedication. Jan is always available to staff for any queries they raise, which are dealt with quickly and with a smile. She also provides many people with support over and above her job role. Jan will always go the extra mile and is an asset to the company and our staff in her service.
