The Contact Company Pledge their Support to Soccer Aid for Unicef

• Employees from The Contact Company volunteer their time to Soccer Aid for Unicef and process telephone donations from the UK public.
• All public donations to Soccer Aid for Unicef will be matched by the UK government until 23rd July.
• Soccer Aid for Unicef will be broadcast live exclusively on ITV and STV on Sunday 16th June.

 

On Sunday 16th June, The Contact Company are delighted to be defending play for every child by supporting the Soccer Aid for Unicef telethon, with colleagues volunteering their time to take phone calls and process donations from the general public. Employees are really looking forward to speaking with donors and thanking them for their support- with some lucky donors being put through to a celebrity “Appreciation Station” at Stamford Bridge Stadium for a personal thank you by a few famous faces.

This year’s Soccer Aid for Unicef match returns to London for the first time in over a decade, taking place at the iconic Stamford Bridge Stadium. The game will see two teams of celebrities and ex-professionals go head-to-head on Sunday 16th June, live on ITV and STV. Soccer Aid for Unicef will be broadcast live on ITV and STV and is produced by Initial.

Names signed up for the England squad include legends Michael Owen, Joe Cole, female players Katie Chapman and Rachel Yankey, and celebrities Sir Mo Farah, Mark Wright, and Danny Jones, all under the watchful eye of co-managers Susanna Reid and Sam Allardyce. Taking them on are the Soccer Aid World XI, with players including legends Didier Drogba, Eric Cantona, and Robert Pires, and stars Usain Bolt, Niall Horan, and Martin Compston, taking their orders from Harry Redknapp and Piers Morgan.

Soccer Aid for Unicef is defending play for every child. The monies raised will go towards Unicef’s vital work helping children have the childhoods they are entitled to. £30 million has already been raised by Soccer Aid for Unicef since its inception in 2006. Every pound donated to Soccer Aid for Unicef until 23 July 2019 will be matched by the UK government, doubling the difference you make to children’s lives.

Call centre volunteers from The Contact Company are critical to the success of Soccer Aid for Unicef and will be managing the busy phone lines throughout the live broadcast.
